• disseminating information on a variety of programs
• maintaining contact with sponsoring agencies
• procuring necessary guidelines and application forms
• providing editorial services, reviewing draft proposals and budgets for compliance with appropriate regulations and policies, giving general advice on strategies to maximize the effectiveness of the application
• duplicating and printing proposals, if requested
• advising on internal and external review procedures, coordinating the final internal review and signature approval process
• transmitting proposals to the sponsoring agency, if requested
• assisting, if needed,with required reports to sponsoring agencies.

Mission Statement

The Office of Sponsored Programs assists Armstrong Atlantic State University faculty and staff through the grantseeking process for sponsored programs and research. The office is the central coordination point for all proposals involving restricted grants for sponsored programs and research, helps to identify funding sources, assists in the planning and preparation of proposals, facilitates the administrative review and approval process, and supports the production and mailing of completed proposals.

The Office of Sponsored Programs is available to advise throughout the project period and with final reports. However, post-award activities, fiscal arrangements, and grant implementation are the responsibilities of the researcher or principal investigator and the Business Office.
